What is a Prospect (or Visitor) in Sales?

A prospect (also called a visitor) is someone who has shown initial interest in your product or service, usually by visiting your website, clicking on an ad, or engaging with your content. They haven’t shared contact details yet, but they’re on your radar.

Why prospects matter

They’re at the very top of your sales funnel, in the ‘awareness’ stage. While they may not be ready to buy yet, nurturing them with the right content and offers can help guide them toward becoming leads and eventually, customers.
